Procedures for Bidding and Terms and Conditions
Formal competitive bids have an expected value of over $75,000, although the City reserves the right to post any bid as required. The City advertises bidding opportunities on the British Columbia Government's website, BC Bid (www.bcbid.ca).
Bid Results
Names of the successful bidder and the value of the contract will be posted on BC Bid (www.bcbid.ca).
Bid Documents
Bid documents may be downloaded directly from BC Bid.
Bids must be submitted to the location as set out in the bid document, in a sealed envelope or package, no later than the "Closing Date and Time" set out in the document. Bid documents received after the closing time will be returned unopened.
Purchasing will not accept responses via Internet, email or fax except when the bid document specifically states that one or more of these modes of response is acceptable.
Alteration of Documents
Bidders may not electronically alter any portion of a downloaded document with the exception of adding information as requested; to do so will render the bidder's submission invalid.
Ownership of Documents
All bid documents issued by the City are the sole property of the City and may not be copied or sold to other parties without express authorization of the Manager - Purchasing.
Amendments and Addendums
It is the responsibility of each potential bidder to check BC Bid, on a regular basis for amendments, addendums or questions relating to specific/active requests.
